Washington Continuing Education Requirements

Completion Reporting

  • BlueVolt reports completions to Washington Labor and Industries every business day.

Requirements

  • Electricians, Master Electricians, and Electrical Administrators are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education in the three (3) years between certification renewals.

  • Required course types:

    • 8 hours on National Electrical Code changes
    • 4 hours must be on Revised Code of Washington and related Washington Administrative Codes (RCW/WAC)
    • The remaining 12 hours can be on your choice of code courses and industry related courses.
